The Daily News Journal, in what I’d call a totally unnecessary move, printed this in a story about Black Friday:

“We came here because there’s no JCPenney in Hickory Hollow Mall,” Salvador Jimenez remarked in fluent Spanish.

Im sorry, what is the point to telling readers that Mr. Jiminez made his comment in “fluid Spanish.” I guess it would be of monumental importance if they ran another statement like this:

“I was in and out in 15 minutes,” [Jennifer Niedergeses] said [in perfect English].

Really? C’mon now.

It has not yet been determined whether or not this incident happened as a direct result of Black Friday events; however, in what police are calling a murder-suicide, two were shot dead in a California Toys ‘R’ Us.

I will keep tabs on this story as it develops.

First, I am a completely rational person, and I like to believe that – in most situations – I have control of my surroundings. I generally don’t allow anything to bother me, but let me tell you…

A 34-year old part-time Wal-Mart employee was trampled to death at 5:03 A.M. at a Long Island store after customers broke down the doors and rushed into the store.

Emergency medical personnel had to fight the still-ravaging peoplebeasts as they wreaked bloodthirsty havoc on unsuspecting Wal-Mart employees.

All joking aside, this is serious… extrapolate this insanity to a total breakdown of society, and think about what people would do if they were put in an apocalyptic situation.

That’s absolutely terrifying.
