PETA, still crazy after all these years
PeTA, the radical anti-consuming-delicious-animals group, has released its Thanksgiving commercial. Take a look at this:
PeTA has made a name for itself by its in-your-face approach to the carnivorous (omnivorous, too) lifestyle. I’ll be honest, I love tasty foods: steak, chicken, duck, bacon, barbecue, et cetera. PeTA could tell me that turkeys are waterboarded prior to being placed in front of a firing line, and I would still want to consume turkey for Thanksgiving.
That’s really about all I feel I need to say about this. PeTA’s audience is obviously its choir. I find its advertising techniques distasteful – from commercials like the one you see above to its more risque attempts to grab my attention. The only people applauding their schemes are tofu-eating, malnourished weaklings. If they’re seeking to convert blood-thirsty meat eaters, they’re failing miserably.
