The Rutherford County Republican Party will move into its new headquarters early next year, according to a statement made by Party officials earlier today.

From the Daily News Journal,

The Rutherford County Republican Party is moving from its Maple Street office to the other side of the Public Square at 111 E. Main Street today… The new location will be next door to City Cafe.

According to reports, the new headquarters will open early February.

From a Washington Post article,

Republican Party officials say they will try next month to pass a resolution accusing President Bush and congressional Republican leaders of embracing “socialism,” underscoring deep dissension within the party at the end of Mr. Bush’s administration.

It’s about time the GOP start relying on its principles, rather than whatever they’ve been doing as of late.

Many people this time of year take an opportunity to reflect of the past 12 months. Being a rather exciting election cycle, I figure I would list the Top 5 Winners and Losers of 2008.

According to Time Magazine, President-elect Barack Obama will be sworn in on the same Bible Abraham Lincoln used for his inauguration, prompting several South Carolina state legislators to file legislation necessary to secede from the Union.

Oh no, not again.
